All 4 digit nos starting with 5,6,7,9 will satisfy given condition.

Number of nos. starting with 5 = 4*3*2=24
Number of nos. starting with 6 = 4*3*2=24
Number of nos. starting with 7 = 4*3*2=24
Number of nos. starting with 9 = 4*3*2=24

total nos between 5000 and 10000 formed by using the digits 5,6,7,9 and 4 = 4*24=96 .. option 7
