There are 2 bags. The first contains 8 white, 4 red and 6 green balls whereas second contains 6 white, 8 red and 4 black balls. One ball from both the bag is selected, then probability to get the balls of same colour will be

If white is selected from both the bags then probability = 8/18*6/18
if red is selected from both the bags then probability = 4/18*8/18
sum of these two will be the answer.

Probability of getting white ball from both bags = (8/18)*(6/18) = 48/324

Probability of getting red ball from both bags = (4/18)*(8/18) = 32/324
Probability of getting balls of same colour from both bags = 48/324 + 32/324 = 80/324 = 20/81

The probability of selecting white balls from bag 1 is 8/18 and similarly, red,green is 4/18 and 6/18 respectively. Similarly, the probability of selecting white,red and black balls from bag 2 is 6/18,8/18,4/18 respectively. Then, the probability to get the balls of same colour will be = 32/324(both red balls)+48/324(both white balls) = 20/81.

Probability of getting Red Ball P(R) = 4/18 * 8/18 = 8/81
Probability of getting White Ball P(W) = 8/18 * 6/18 = 4/27
Probability of getting the balls of same colour = P(R) + P(W) = 8/81 + 4/27 = 20/81

Total no of balls in first bag is 18 so probability of selecting white balls from first bag is 8/18 similarly selecting white frm second bag is 6/18 .so selecting both white balls is 8*6/(18*18) and selecting both red balls is 4*8/(18*18).
hence selecting same colored is (8*6)/(18*18)+(4*8)/(18*18)=20/81

Probability of selecting White ball from both the bags is (8/18 * 6/18).

Probability of selecting Red ball from both the bags is (4/18 * 8/18).

So, probability of selecting same color ball from both the bags is (8/18 * 6/18) + (4/18 * 8/18).

Both bags contain white and red balls while one bag contain green and other contain black balls.
So when one ball each from both the bags selected then these both should be either white colur balls or red colour balls only.

Probability to get both white balls
= (8/18)*(6/18) = 48/324
Probability to get both red balls
= (4/18)*(8/18) = 32/324
Probability to get both balls either red or white = 48/324 + 32/324 = 80/324 = 20/81

Its can be 8 white AND 6 white from 18 balls from both the bags OR It can be 4 red and 8 red from both the bags. so the above equation comes
