Solution

Let marks of Amit is x
Then according to given condition marks of Suraj is 1.1x
Difference of marks is 1.1x – x = 0.1x
Hence marks of Amit are (0.1x/1.1x)*100 = 100/11 = 9.09 % less than marks of Suraj.
