Solution

in 60 numbers 12 numbers will be started from each digit, since 8 comes twice 24 numbers will be started from this digit.
in these 60 numbers in every place sum of digits = 12(4+5+8+8+9) = 12*34
= 408
so sum = 408

all possible numbers starting with 4=4!/2=12
same for 5 and 9 also,
i.e all possible numbers starting with 4,5 and 9=12 for each.
and,
all possible numbers starting with 8=4!=24
so, sum of all digit at unit (or any) place=12*(4+5+9)+24*8=12*18+24*8=12*34=408
hence sum of all possible(60 numbers) formed by 4,5,8,8 and 9=408*(10000+1000+100+10+1)
=408*11111=4533288
so answer is (1).

formed one no. is 60/5=12
so 12*4=48
12*5=60
12*8=96
12*8=96
12*9=100 add the no. is 408
so we have put zero for digit places
480000+408000+40800+4080+408=4533288

sum of all no formed by no=(n-1)!*(sum of all digits)*(111111....n)
so sum=4!*(4+5+8+8+8)*11111
=4533288
