3^9=will give 9 at last digit +1=10
hence 0 is the last digit.

Masum, 3^9 does not give last digit as 9, but 3. Please check out the pattern.

3^1 ends in 3
3^2 ends in 9
3^3 ends in 7
3^4 ends in 1
3^5 ends in 3
3^6 ends in 9 ...

I hope you understand the pattern of last digit being 3,9,7,1...

Here, 579 when divided by 4 gives 3 as remainder. Thus the last digit will be third in the pattern that is 7.

Final result will be +1 as given in the question. Answer=8.

Using Venn diagram we can solve this
to find football player,
B=20-1-8
B=11
Football=30-1-8
F=21
Cricket=25-1-8
C=16
Adding altogether we get 48
50-48=2

Two trains of length 100m and 160m respectively are running on parallel tracks. when running in the same direction the fastest train passes the slower train in 10.4 seconds, but when running in the opposite directions they take 4 seconds to cross each other. What is the speed of the fastest train

If speed(in m/s) of the fastest train=x and slower train=y, then
Time taken while running in same direction=(100+160)/(x-y)=10.4 or x-y=25 ---(i) and
Time taken while running in opposite direction=(100+160)/(x+y)=4 or x+y=65 ---(ii)
On solving (i) & (ii), x=45, y=20

x-y=260/4
x=45,y=20

There are 600 people to be seated, but there are 10 benches less. If two more people are asked to seat on each bench, then everybody is accomodated. How many benches were there?

There are 50 benches.

600 = (b+10) * r [Where b= benches; r= number of people on every benche]
600 = b * (r+2)

Solving the above two you will get b = 5r. This on substituting in any one of the equation you would get a quadratic equation.
r^2 + 2r -120 = 0

r= 10 is the valid value; also b= 50. Hope you could work this out!

no of people per bench=x
nx=600
but there are 10 benches less
two more people are asked to seat on each bench
hence(n-10)(x+2)=600
nx=600 -----------1
(n-10)(x+2)=600--------2
after solving 1 and 2
we get x=10, -12
no of persons cannot be negative
so x=10
then we get n as 60
there are 10 benches less
60-10=50
totally 50 benches are there
