This is Saran from Thiagarajar College Of Engineering, Madurai..

I am very happy to share my TCS interview experience with you.

TCS came to our college on (31-08-2014) to (02-09-2014).

Round 1:

1. VERBAL ABILITY:
Write an email to the Branch Manager regarding lost ATM Card with the given keywords in max of 10 minutes.

2. ANALYTICAL ABILITY:
Total no of questions: 30
Nearly 10 questions are from previous year papers and model question paper on campus commune.
Others questions were mostly from time and work, permutations, combinations, probability, mixtures, proportions, simple geometry, and some problems from AP, GP.

Thanks to m4maths.com. Solutions for previous year papers were given by you only.

Round 2:

INTERVIEW:
There is no separate Technical and HR interview. My interview was combination of both tech and HR. Totally 3 members were there in my panel.
• They started with much expected question Introduce yourself.
• Tell about your family.
• Then they concentrate more on my project and my contributions in the project and status of on-going project.
• My area of interest is RDBMS. But they asked basics on all topics.
• Tell me about HTML5.
• Best website and Worst website in design. Why?
• Favorite subjects?
• Why you like RDMS?
• Tell me all normalization concepts.
• Given a problem with amount received, no of years, rate of interest and asked to find principle. Write algorithm for this.
• What do you think about working in Team?
• What will you do when your friend doesn’t work?
• Strengths?
• Weakness?
• Will you work in Lucknow?
• Any questions?

I am very happy to share my experience with you.

I am student in Sastra university, Thanjavur. Actually my campus placement was held on (05-09-2014) to (07-09-2014) .

PLACEMENT PROCEDURE AS FOLLOWS:

1. VERBAL ABILITY (WRITE A EMAIL LETTER WITH THE GIVEN KEYWORDS IN MAX OF 10 MINUTES.
2. ANALYTICAL ABILITY (EACH STUDENT WERE GIVEN WITH 30 QUESTIONS AND MOST OF THE QUESTIONS ARE FALL UNDER THE CATEGORY OF ->time, speed, distance.
->time and work
->mixtures, proportions and varitions.
->permutations, combinations.
->probability
->simple geomentry, and some problems AP, GP, HP.

in my exam, key words are falls under the the following.
->accidents ->children ->old people ->rash -> drving ->damage -> action immediately.

Write an email letter to the police inspector about the rash driving.

TECHNICAL INTERVIEW:

My technical interview is completely rest with my project and
my areas of interest. Just fit with your resume and whatever you mentioned in the resume.

-> cryptography and network security.
->operating systems.

From cryptography,
1. what do we need cryptography?
2. explain the DOS Attack?
3.explain about your project?
4. explain the MD5 algorithm?

On networks:
1. what is the need of router in network layer?
some basic consepts
2. explain tcp udp?
3. link &hub& and switch and bandwidth?

HR:
1. explain about your self?
2. why tcs?
3. why shold I hire you?
