For each successive day half of the quantity is eaten and half is left
So for seven days total 1-(1/2^7)=1-(1/128)=127/128 quantity would have been eaten

Mark ate half the pizza on Monday. On Tuesday, he would have
ate half of the remaining pizza i.e. 1/4 of the original
pizza. Similarly, he would have ate 1/8 of the original
pizza on Wednesday and so on for the seven days.

Total pizza Mark ate during the week is

= 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 + 1/16 + 1/32 + 1/64 + 1/128

= 127/128

= 99.22% of the original pizza

pizza would he have eaten during the week = 1- (0.5)^7
1/2 +1/4 +1/8 .. + 1/2^7

sum of GP = a[1-r^n]/ (1-r) = (1/2)(1-0.5)^7)/(1/2)= (1-0.5)^7)

pizza would he have eaten during the week = 1- (0.5)^7
1/2 +1/4 +1/8 .. + 1/2^7

he would have eaten 127 pizza out of 128 pizza during the week.
sol:-
Let Mark has 128 pizza at the starting of the week then he will eat on
mon-64 pizza
tue-32 pizza
wed-16 pizza
thu-8 pizza
fri-4 pizza
sat-2 pizza
sun-1 pizza
hence,total pizza eaten by Mark during a week=64+32+16+8+4+2+1=127 pizza ans.
