Ans % of Men=80 and Women=20

If the number of men=m and women=w, Total age of men & women=26m+21w
Given,Combined Mean Age=25= 26m+21w/(m+w)
25m+25w=26m+21w -->4w=m or m/w=4/1
Therefore % of men=80 and women=20

Suppose,

there are 2 women
so, there mean = (21+21) / 2 = 21

total mean of men and women = 25
so, we need 4 year per women so that mean will be equal to 25
for 2 women we need 8 years

mean of men = 26
if we take mean of 8 men and 2 women then overall mean will be 25 years

%age of men = 80
%age of women = 20

suppose there are x women and 100-x men
the mean age of combined group is given as 25, hence this can be solved like this:

(26(100-x)+21x)/100=25
2600-26x+21x=2500
2600-2500=5x
100/5=x
20=x i.e the number of women
and 100-x=80 i.e number of men
