By alligation method of mixtures,

ratio of 36% profit cars to 9% profit cars = 8:19
so no. of cars sold at 36% profit = 108*8/27= 32 cars

Total cars=108
Let cars sold for 9% profit be x
So,cars sold for 36% profit is (108-x)
Then x*(109/100)+(108-x)*(136/100)=108*(117/100)
// ist type iind type total
on solving x=76
so 108-x=32

Let the CP of 1 car=y
So, CP of 108 cars=108y
SP of 108 cars=108x * (117/100)
Let the no. of cars with 9% profit be=y
Then no. of cars with 36% profit=108-y
SP of y cars (with 9% profit)=x*y*(109/100)
SP of (108-y) cars (with 36% profit)=(108-y)*x*(136/100)
SP of 108 cars=SP of y cars + SP of (108-y) cars
-->108x*(117/100)=xy*(109/100)+(108-y)x*(136/100)
on solving x cancels from LHS and RHS
and y=76
So, no of cars with 36% profit=108-y=108-76=32
