Speeds of Tim & Elan are 10,20,40 & 5,10,20 kmph in 1st, 2nd & 3rd hour respectively
So in first 2 hrs. distance covered=(10+5)+(20+10)=45 and remaining 45 Km. till they meet will be covered in 3rd hour in 45/60 hr. or 45 minutes & distance covered by Tim in 45 min. in 3rd hour @40 kmph=30 Km.
So distance traveled by Tim until he meets Elan= 10+20+30=60 Km.
