Rs 30/kg.

Let cost price per/kg (in Rs.) of first variety=x then second variety=(150/100)x=3x/2
When 3 kg of first variety and 2 kg of second variety are mixed and sold, then average price/kg=
[3x + 2*(3x/2)]/(3+2) = 27.84*(100/116)
=> 6x/5 = 24 or x=20
So purchasing price of the costlier variety=3x/2= 3*20/2=30 Rs.

First rice = 2x
Second rice = 2x + x( 50% grtr than first) = 3x

Sp = 27.84
Profit = 16
Apply formula cp = 100*sp/100 + profit
Cp = 24

Ratio = 3:2

Second rice = 3x *2/5. = 24
X = 15
3x = 45 is the ans
