so total employees =850
where they given 19% are sales rep so we need to obtain 25% sales rep so 25%-19%=6%
so, 850*6/100=51
51 additional employees should be added

whether this is correct ???

In existing 850 employees, software engineers=850*(81/100) & sales representative=850*(19/100)
Let 'x' number of sales representative are added to make their proportion to 25%, then
[850*(19/100) + x]/(850+x) = 25/100
=> [850*(19/100) + x]/(850+x) = 1/4
Solving we get, x=68

So,
{(850*(19/100) + x) / (850+x) }*100 = 25
on solving for x

81%=81/100*850=688(S/W Engineers)
19%=19/100*850=162(Sales Representatives)
25%=25/100*850=212
212-162=51
So, 51 more sales representatives are needed to make it 25%.

ans should be 68(b)
we know that,
(850*81)/100=688.5;
for making 25% sales 75% should be software engineer;
i.e 688.5 represent 75% of total;
let 'x' be the total no of employee,
then (x*75)/100=688.5
i.e. x=918;
so additional 918-850=68 sales employee required.
