40% or 2/5 work completed by both in 8 days, so remaining work=3/5
In completed 2/5 work, Anjan's work=(7/12)*(2/5)=7/30 and Mukul's work=(5/12)*(2/5)=1/6
Anjan's total work=7/30 + 3/5=5/6
Therefore, Mukul's total work=1 - 5/6=1/6
Ratio of work done by Anjan & Mukul = 5/6 : 1/6 = 5 : 1
For, 5 part of work Anjan received Rs. 24000, so for 1 part Mukul receives 24000/5 =Rs. 4800
