Earlier SP= Rs 10 per kg
New Sp= Rs 9 per kg.
Earlier shopkeeper sold 27 kg sugar bought at Rs 8 per kg for Rs 10 per kg.

Here we have to take the LCM of 12 & 18 which is 36. So the total water will be 36 unit and Pipe A fills (36/12)=3 units per minutes and Pipe B fills (36/18)=2 units per minutes.
Now both the Pipe opened for 4 minutes so in first 4 minutes (3+2)=5*4= 20 unit water will be filled.
Now after that B will have to fill the remaining part which it can be done in 16/2= 8 minutes.

Part filled by a and b upto 4 min = 4(1/12 + 1/18) = 5/9
So remaining part of the cistern to be filled = 1 - 5/9 = 4/9
Hence time required by b to fill the remaining cistern = (4/9) / (1/18) = 8 minutes

In yesterday puzzle,

67+32... 6+7+3+2=18 .. put 0 in between 18 to get 108 and reverse it to get 801 .

As 26+64.. 2+6+6+4=18... put 0 in between 1 and 8 to get 108. reverse it to get 801.
similarly for other given examples.
So admin should accept this answer also.
