labourers * days= (x+3)(x-2) ---> for 1st condition
labourers * days= (x-2)(x+5) ---> for 2nd condition
now these above two equation are in the ratio 4:5
so (x+3)(x-2) : (x-2)(x+5)=4:5
after solving this we get x=5 and x=2
ans cant be x=2
hence from given options answer is option 1)5

Total work of(x+3)labourers in(x-2)days=(x+3)(x-2)
=x^2+x-6 and
Total work of(x-2)labourers in(x+5)days=(x-2)(x+5)
=x^2+3x-10
Given [x^2+x-6]/[x^2+3x-10]=4/5
x^2-7x+10 , solving we get x=5
