Let CP of 1 fan = Rs. 100
On selling 100 fans shopkeeper gets: RS 10,000
If cost is decreased by 30% i.e. CP of 1 fan = Rs. 70
20% sale increases i.e. 120 fans are sold.
So 120*70 = RS. 8,400
i.e. a decrement of Rs. 1,600
1600*100/10000 = 16% decrement
which is option 6)

Assume total fans sell is 5 having price 100 rs each
So total sell price =100*5=500
Now the price of fan=100-30=70
Sell =(5+1)*70=420
Hence option (6) is correct

So, money receipt = Rs x*y
Now, price of one fan = Rs0.7x
Total no of fans sold = 1.2y

Decease in receipt = x*y - 0.84*x*y = Rs 0.16x*y

Let the initial amount of a fan is 100rs and total 100 fans are sold everyday then the total amount received by the shopkeeper will be 100*100=10000rs
But now if the rate of the fan is decreased by 30% new price will be 70rs and if the sales is increased by 20% then now a total no of 120 mails will be send to them so now the new amount received by the shopkeeper will be 70*120=8400
So the %decrease in amount received by shopkeeper is given by (10000-8400/10000)*100=(1600/10000)*100=16% decrease
