b + 2 = x + 2 + s +2 + x (s is the present age of other son)

D+17+D+9+X=11D+15
D is the age of david before 15 years ago;
11D+15 is the present age of his dad;
D+9 id the presengt age of his brother => D+15-8= D+9;
x is the present age of devid which is equal to
= D+15;
so after sloving the equation according to given in question= > D= 3;
so the age of his dad is 11D = 33;
33 is the age of his dad before 15 years.
after 15 years the age will be= 33+15= 48...:)
