Mukesh borrowed Rs.830 from Uday at 12% rate of interest for 3 years. He then added some more money to the borrowed sum and lent it to Rakesh for the same time at 14% simple interest. If Mukesh gains Rs.93.90 in the whole transaction, then the sum lent by him to Rakesh is

Case 1:
mukesh took money from uday,
SI= (830*12*3)/100
=298.8
Case 2:
Money mukesh gave to Rakesh= 830+x
SI=(830+x)14*3/100
= 348.6+0.42x
Mukesh's profit= 93.90
=((830+x)+(348.6+0.42x))-(830+x)-298.8
On solving,
x=195
Total money lent to Rakesh=830+105=935

((830+X)*14*3-(830)*12*3)/100=93.9
we calculate X as 105 & the money lent will be 830+105=935

sum of mukesh= (830*12*3)/100

sum of rakesh=(x*14*3)/100

rakesh - mukesh=93.90
(x*14*3)/100 - (830*12*3)/100=93.90 ( then find the value of x)

then x=935 Ans.

uday interest =pnr/100 i=830*3*12/100 = 298.8
mukesh interest= 298.8+93.90 = 392.70
rakesh interest= pnr/100
392.70 = (830+ x)*3*14/100
830+x = 935

(830+x)*(14/100)*3-830*12/100*3 = 93.9
830+x =((9390/3)+830*12)/14 =935
the required amount that Mukesh gives Rakesh is 935/-

The difference of interest paid by Rakesh and Mukesh when equalled to 93.90 gives the value 935.

calculate the total amount to be given by end of 3 years is 298.8 + mukesh gain 93.9 = 393 which is the total money gain by mukesh from money he lent to rakesh. so calculate the principle amount using SI formula gives us 935 as answer.

Intereset paid by mukesh to uday= (830*12*3)/100= 298.8
Gain by mukesh on whole transaction= 93.9
This means rakesh must have paid interest = 298.8+93.9=392.7
Let sum lent by mukesh to rakesh = x
Therefore, x*14*3/100=392.7
on solving x= 935

830*3*(14-12)/100+3*14*x/100=93.9
3*14*x/100=93.9-49.8=44.1

Interest earned by Uday = 830*12*3/100 = 298.80

So, interest earned by Mukesh by lending to Rakesh = 298.80+93.90 = 392.70

Therefore, amount lent by Mukesh to Rakesh = (392.70*100)/(14*3) = 935

Let the extra sum added by mukesh be x,
So therefore A1=830+Interest on 830 fro 3 years at 12%
and A2=(830+x)+Interest on (830+x) for 3 years at 14%
therefore according to question
A2-A1=93.90
thus we calculate x.
