Ram and Rahim each working alone can do a work in 22 and 33 days respectively. They started the work together but one day Rahim left the work in between and Ram finished the remaining work in 11 days. For how many days Rahim had worked for?

Ram's one day's work=1/22
Rahim's one day's work=1/33
In 11 days Ram worked =11/22 = 1/2
So Ram and Rahim together completed 1/2 work
(Ram+Rahim)'s one day's work= (3+2)/66 = 5/66
5/66 work is done by Ram and Rahim together in 1 day
1 work is done by Ram and Rahim together in 66/5 days
1/2 work is by Ram and Rahim together in 1/2*(66/5) days = 33/5 days = 6.6 days

Ram,Rahim can do indepently=22,33 days respectively.
In 1day they can do 1/22,1/33 respectively.
Left over work finished by Ram in 11days.
Part of the work done by Ram is= 1*11/22= 1/2
So together worked 1/2 of the work.
Together's work in1 day = (1/22) + (1/33) = (3+2)/66 = 5/66
1/2 of the work they can do in =
(66/5)*(1/2) = 6.6.
Hence the right option is 7.

Let Rahim worked for x days
Ram + Rahim 1 day's work = 1/22 + 1/33 = 5/66
(5/66)*x + (1/22)*11 = 1
=> (5x + 33)/66 = 1
=> x = 33/5
=> x = 6.6
Rahim worked for 6.6 days

Let Ram and Rahim works for x days and then Rahim left and remaining work is done by Ram in 11 days, then x[(1/22) + (1/33)] + 11*(1/22) = 1
=> (5x+33)/66 = 1
=> x = 33/5 = 6.6

so according to question...
x ( 1/22 + 1/33 ) + 1/22 = 1

so we get x = 6.6

[(1/22)+(1/33)]x =1/2

Ram completed 11/22 work i.e. 1/2 work alone.
1/2 work was completed by Ram & Rahim together in (66/5)*(1/2)=33/5=6.6 days.
So Rahim worked for 6.6 days.

In one day, Ram and rahim can do (1/22+1/33) of work,
so, in x day they can do x*1/22+1/33)(of work,
that equals 5*x/66
now, this form direct relationship, i.e
11 = 22*(1-5*x/66)
or, 11 = 22-5*x/3
or, x=6.6 days

Speed of Ram = 66/22 = 3 units/day
Speed Of rahim = 66/33 = 2 units/day
Work done by Ram in 11 days = 3*11 = 33 units

remaining work = 1- 1/2 = 1/2
thus,

(A + B)'s 1 day's work = (1/22 + 1/33) = 5/66
Work done by A and B in x days = 5x/66
Remaning work = (1- 5x/66)
Now, 1/22 work is done in 1 day
1-5x/66 work will be done by a in 11days

ram alone does 1/22 of work. rahim alone does 1/33 of work. together they do 5/66 of work. if rahim left working on 'x' days. then the equation becomes (5x/66)+(11/22)=1
so the answer comes x=6.6 days

So, let rahim works for x days before he left.
So, {x*(Ram's work+Rahim's work)}+{11*(Ram's work)}= Whole work=1
