[x+{1/(x+1)}] = 181/60
implies that (x^2+x+1)/(x+1) = 181/60
so 60x^2-121x-121 = 0
on solving we get x = 11/4 and x = -11/15
so positive root = 11/4

sol(1):-
L.H.S=[x+{1/(x+1)}]
take,x=2.75
L.H.S=2.75+1/3.75=2.75+.266...=3.016666....
Now,R.H.S=181/60=3.016666....=L.H.S proved

Sol(2):-
(x^2+x+1)/(x+1)=181/60
60(x^2+x+1)=181(x+1)
60x^2-121x-121=0
therefore,x=[121+sqrt(14641+29040)]/120 ,
x=[121-sqrt(14641+29040)]/120
x=-11/15 , 11/4
but a/c to the problem x should be positive
hence,x=11/4=2.75 ans.
