numerator is 2 less then denominator
so;
Nominator will be x -2

According to the question
If both numerator & denominator increase by 1 the fraction becomes 4/5

(x-2)+1/x+1 = 4/5
x-1/x+1 = 4/5
5(x-1) = 4(x+1)
5x - 5 = 4x + 4
x = 9

so denominator (x) = 9
nominator (x-2) = 9 - 2 = 7

so answer will be option 7

so the fraction number is (a-2)/a
after increasing 1 number in both numerator and denominator the fraction number is
= [(a-2)+1]/[a+1]=4/5

I found the answer by the 'process of elimination' from the given options. First I tried 1/3 which on increasing the numerator and denominator by 1 became 2/4, similarly I tried all the options, until 7. It gave out 8/10 when added 1 to both the numerator and denominator, which is in turn 4/5.
