If A & B work together, they will complete the job in 7.5 days. If A works alone and completes half the job and then B takes over and completes the remaining half alone, they will be able to complete the job in 20 days. How long B alone will take to do the job, if A is more efficient than B ?
(A) 20 days
(B) 30 days
(C) 40 days

since A is more efficient than B therefore no.of days taken by B to complete the job alone will be 30 days

(1/A) + (1/B)= 1/7.5 or 2AB=15(A+B) ---(i)
Half of the work from A & B= (A/2) + (B/2)=20, A+B=40 ---(ii)
From (i) & (ii), AB=300 ---(iv)
Values matching for AB=300 & A+B=40, where A is more efficient than B, So A will be less than B
We have A=10, B=30

However, none of them follow the profession indicated by their name. Doctor plays bridge very regularly, as he thinks it as an intellectual card game. Doctor is allergic to sea food, and does not eat it at all. Architect nearly died in a car accident two years ago. The architect is very poor at card games and does not play them at all.
