1056/23 leaves a remainder of 2 so,2 has to be added

2 should be added since remainder is 2 So on adding 2 to 1056 it will become 1058 which is completely divisible by 23

Ananthi   12 years ago
ans :a) 12 yrs, 44 yrs
father's age=x
son's age=y
x+y=56 ->equation 1
after 4 years (x+4)=3(y+4) ->equation 2
from equation 1 we will get y=56-x
substitute y value in equation 2
x+4=3((56-x)+4)
x+4=168-3x+12
x+3x=180-4
4x=176
x=176/4
x=44 -> Father's age
then substitute y value to equation 1
44+y=56
so we get y=56-44
son's age y=12

since 10 workers wages for 6 days is 1200
therefore, 10 workers wages for 1 day is 1200/6=200
then, 1 worker wage for 1 day is 200/10 = 20
then 4 workers wages for 1 day is 20*4=80(ans)

10w -> 1d -> 1200/6=200

1w -> 1d -> 200/10 = 20

Now 4w -> 1d -> 20*4 =80

10 worker's work in 6 day will give salry times = 10*6=60
then 1 day salary = total 10 worker's 6 day salary/60
=1200/60=20
then 4 worker's salary = 20*4=80
