Relative speed of A & B = (2+3)= 5
So, they cross each other 5 times in an hour and 2 times in half an hour
(9.00-9.30)=half an hour .,so ans will be 2 times

We enjoyed four successful years of m4maths.com together as a team. M4maths distributed prizes to all the users, who were deserving. Once a user got iPod for getting 98 score and this is the highest score of any user of this site. Many other user having good skills achieved prizes too, but the achievers are not many in numbers. For giving the users more encouragement, m4maths decided to give the prizes in a new way. Details of these rules are given below.

New Prize Distribution Rule

Today's Puzzle rules

1) scoring 100 prize equivalent to laptop

2) scoring 99 prize equivalent to mobile phone

3) scoring 98 prize equivalent to titan watch

4) scoring 97 prize equivalent to 16 GB pen drive

5) scoring 96 price equivalent to Pierre Cardin pen

6)Every week, the topper of the week in today’s puzzle will get a prize: Parker pen
If there will be a tie between 2-3 users then the user with max total marks will win.
If again tie, then the person whose m4maths score high will win
If again tie, then the older user of site will win the prize.

7) user who achieve 100 m4maths score will get a prize equivalent to parker pen.

8) user who submit 300+ good placement puzzle will get a prize equivalent to Parker pen.

9) user who solve 100+ puzzle will get a prize equivalent to parker pen.

10) user who give 100+ referrals will get a prize equivalent to Parker pen.

As the two roots are equal the discriminant must be equal to 0.

(b−c)2−4(a−b)(c−a)=(a−b+c−a)2−4(a−b)(c−a)={a−b−(c−a)}2=(2a−b−c)^2=02a−b−c=0

you can also go for alternate soln for x:-

x=−(b−c)±[{(b−c)2−4(a−b)(c−a)}^1/2]/2(a−b)={c−b±(2a−b−c)/2}(a−b)=c−a/a−b,1
as a−b≠0 as a=b would make the equation linear.

So,
c−a/a−b=1 =>c−a=a−b =>2a=b+c

from the que u see that S+M=MO that means their is two digit no so the value of M is not greater then 1 so M=1.
and when M is 1 so that means S is 9 hence the total is 10 so the value of O is 0.

as we at third place E+0=N its not possible so their is carry from the last place hence E+1=N.
and from second place N+R+0/1=E+10
so putting the value of N from last eq we getting the value of R=8/9. But we use 9 for S so the value of R=8.

so their is many combination like (1,2)(2,3)(3,4)(4,5)(5,6)(6,7)(7,8)(8,9) for the value of E and N but the possible combination is (5,6) so the vale of E and N is 5 and 6.

when we calculate unit digit it comes 9+6-2=13;
where 3 is unit digit now we have 1 carry;
for hundred digit we have 5+9-7=7 but we need 8 means we need a carry from 10th place so we have equation
A+C-B+1=12
A+C-B=11;
maximum value of B from here is 7 (because each A,B,C is bw 0-9)

(add carry)+5+9-7=8
then

give max value to A and C
ie
a=9 and c=9
then

therefore
