400 lakhs

Let man's wealth=x lakhs.
Then, x(1 - 0.3) [1 - (0.3+.25)]/3 = 42
On solving, we get x=400

If 2x+y = 10, 2y+z = 20 and 2x+z = 30. Where x, y,and z are real number. What is the value of 2x ?
Reply Like? Yes | No
Devendra Marghade   6 years ago
Ans: 10

2x + y = 10 —(i)
2y + Z = 20 —(ii)
2x + Z = 30 —(iii)
From (i) & (iii), 2x=10-y —(iv) & 2x=30-z —(v)
Now comparing (iv) & (v), 10-y = 30-z
y-z=-20 —(vi)
From (ii) & (vi), we get y=0, z=20
Suvstituting y=0 in (i), we get x=5
Therefore, 2x=10

If 4 examiners can examine a certain number of answer books in 8 days by
working 5 hours a day, for how many hours a day would 2 examiners have to
work in order to examine twice the number of answer books in 20 days.
Reply Like? Yes | No
Devendra Marghade   6 years ago
8 hours

If work of 4 examiners, working 5 hrs/day for 8 days=1
Then, required work of 2 examiners, working x hrs/day for 20 days=2
(4*8*5)/1 = (2*20*x)/2
x=8

. An Aeroplane has four emergency exits. In an emergency it requires 8
seconds per passenger to evacuate the plane, if the hand baggage is not
carried by the passenger. How long will it take to eliminate 53 passengers in
an emergency?

AJAI KUMAR S   6 years ago
So there are four exits, it takes 8 sec for a passenger ti exit the plane and at once 4 passengers can exit the plane....so (53 x 8) / 4= 106 sec
Like? Yes | No
Devendra Marghade   6 years ago
13 passengers from 4 emergency exits simultaneously, thus 52 passengers takes 13x8=104 sec.
Remaining 1 passenger will take 8 sec more.
Therefore, total time=104+8=112 sec.
