6^17= any multiples of 6 gives the unit value as '6'..
and if you take 17*17*17*17 then it results 1 as unit value and it will be repeating.. soo adding 6 +1 gives 7 and on dividing we get "0" as result..

5p+7pc+4e=x Rs --->1
6p+14pc+8e=3x/2 RS---->2

eqn2-eqn1:
p+7pc+4e=x/2--->3

eqn2-eqn3:
4p=x/2
x=1/8
so 12.5% of x

ans= 62.5
let amresh total paid=100
5x+7y+4z=100---(I)
1x+7y+4z=50---(II)(from rajan bought 6x+14y+8z=150)
after solv (I)&(II)
4x=50,x=12.5
so total for pen=5x=5*12.5=62.5 and total paid by amresh=100
in percentage ans=62.5

85 mins

If x mins are left for train departure, then 50 mins ago, time remaining was (50+x) mins.
At that time, time passed after 3AM = 180_(50+x)
As per condition,
50+x= 3*(180-(50+x))
x = 85 mins.
and present time is 4:35 AM

Reply Like? Yes | No
Shubhankur Manuja   12 years ago
1.1x = 396 => x=360
0.9y = 396 => y=440

So total price = 440+360 = 800
Selling Price = 792

Total Loss = 8 rs

Hiba    12 years ago
When profit and loss % are same, it is always a loss.
Loss % = (Common loss and gain %)^2 / 100
so, (10)^2/100 = 100/100 = 1% loss.

let the length of the candle be 100.
then first time 1/3 rd will burnt.so,
100/3=33.33 burnt.remaining=100-33.33=67.77
2nd time also 1/3 rd will burnt.so
67.77/3=22.66 burnt.remaining=67.77-22.66=45.11
similarly,
3rd time remaining = 30.074
4 th time = 20.05
5 th time = 13.37
6 th time = 9 (approx)
so in the total length 10 cm is 10 % value.
So it is obtained after the 6 th burnt only
Now the ans is 6.

In the polynomial f(x) = x^5 + a*x^3 + b*x^4 +c*x + d, all coefficients a, b, c, d are integers.
If 3 + sqrt(7) is a root, which of the following must be also a root?(Note that x^n denotes the x raised to the power n, or x multiplied by itself n times. Also sqrt(u) denotes the square root of u, or the number which when multiplied by itself, gives the number u)?
a. 3-sqrt(7)
b. 3+sqrt(21)
c. 5
d. sqrt(7) + sqrt(3)
