You have given reason for yesterday's(26.3.2013) puzzle:
Reason
(1/2)*(2+3)-1 = ((1/2)*5)-1 = (5/2)-1 = 1.5 = 3/2
Option 5 is 3/2. But, i got points: -1 please update my points based on Time.

Hello,

The flow of answer given for the question of 'Today's Puzzle' of 14th March is a bit wrong. If x^2=4, then x should be (+/-)2. Either ways the final answer will remain the same, but minus 2 should be also be considered.

This is the solution of puzzle dated 14/03/2013
By the given condition
4(pi)*5^2 = 4(pi)*r^2 - 4(pi)*(r-1)^2 (let the radius of hollow sphere be r)
By solving equation
find r and (r-1)
r*(r-1) = 12*13 = 156
the problem is:-
if r=12
then r-1=11

the value of a is given not clear.
so i have taken the value of 'a' is a positive real number.
So it has infinite number of solutions.

method:
8sqr=64
3sqr=09

Now, 8*3=24,24*2=48
48*10=480
So, 6409+480=6889.

Similar examples:42 sqr
4^2 and 2^2= 1604
4*2=8,8*2=16,16*10=160
1604+160=1764
this funda for squares is a generic funda.just one funda and it covers all two digit squares.

then time taken by half journy=x/(2*60)

half of remaining journy x/4 travelled 30km/h
then time taken by half journy=x/(4*30)
