Use formula s = ut+1/2 at^2
s= Height from which pendulum ball is freely dropped
u=Initial velocity, it would be 0 when dropped freely
t=time taken to reach ground
a=gravitation pull = 9.81 m/s2

So you need to start counting time using clock as soon as you drop the pendulum ball from your head in standing position & stop it the time when i reaches ground (when you hear the sound it hitting ground ). This will give you t.
Putting in formula Height = 1/2*g*t^2
You should get the answer

Time period of pendulum is given by 2*3.14*(sqrt(height of rope/gravity)).
gravity=g=9.81
using clock you can find the time period of pendulum.(average time for 1 oscillation).using the formula from time period you can measure the heigth of the rope. Then using the rope you can measure your own height.

675 is the price after 9 months

interest=675-600=75 rs

but m not able to understnd why u r taking number f terms 120 while applying A.P.bcz
3(1,2) is made up of two terms
5(1,2,2) is made up of three terms
7(1,2,2,2) is made up of four terms
thus 3,5,7 consists of 9 terms thus resulting sequence which forms an A.P. will not have 1230 terms but will have some less number of terms

@naina..ya i said one is wrong..no of terms will be reduced....so,this mthd i have solved.....
1 2 1 2 2 1 2 2 2 1 2 2 2 2 1 2 ......
=(1+2),(1+2+2),(1+2+2+2),(1+2+2+2+2)......
if N be no. of terms then
N=(1+1)+(1+2)+(1+3)+(1+4)+...
N= n+ n(n+1)/2 = (n^2+3n)/2
now (n^2+3n)/2 = 1230 => n^2+3n=2460
if n=48, (n^2+3n)=2448 & N=2448/2=1224
so series will be
sum of (1224 term + 6 term)
[(1+2)+(1+2+2)+(1+2+2+2)+(1+2+2+2+2)+...+(1+2+2...48 times 2)]+(1+2+2+2+2+2)
so no. of 1's in series=49
no. of 2's in series=(1230-49)=1181

sum of series= 49*1+1181*2 = 49+2362=2411

assume that 1kg sugar=10rs
given that,
overall profit =17%
17% of 500=85
then 50kg sugar=50*10=500

given 15% on one part =30kg=30*10/kg=300rs
15%of 300=45/-
the remaining part=20kg
20%of 200=40/-
total=30kg+20kg=15% of 300+20% of 200=45+40=85

so one part=30kg and remaining part=20kg

SI = p*n*r/100
SI of 3 schemes ll be => x*6*10/100 , y*10*12/100, z*12*15/100
Ratio of SI ll be => 3x/5 : 6y/5 : 9z/5
=> 3x : 6y : 9z
Ratio of SI of 3 schemes => x : 2y : 3z
Given he gets the same interest on all the schemes ... So x=2y=3z
x = 3z
y = 3z/2
z = z
Ratio of their investments ll be => 3z : 3z/2 : z
=> 6z : 3z : 2z
Ans : 6 : 3 : 2
