Q: in a mixture of milk and water of 40 liters water is 5% . the amount of water to be added to this mixture so as to make water 10% is ? explain plzzzzzzzz

ans: 2+2/9
Reply Like? Yes | No
Tushar belwal   4 years ago
If u add water then amount of milk remains same i.e
Initial amount of Milk = 95% × 40 = 38
Final amount of milk = 90% × (x) =38
=> x=42+2/9
Amount of water added = 42+2/9 -40 = 2+2/9

Q: The sum of K numbers is 2000 and their average is 50. If 91 is included into the list, then
the new average is ?

a) 51 b) 49 c) 41
Reply Like? Yes (5) | No (1)
aman aditya   4 years ago
Sum =2000
Average =50
So, K =2000/50 =40 (Average = Sum of observations / Number of observations)
Now 91 is added so sum becomes 2000+ 91= 2091
New average = 2091 /(40 +1) = 51 Ans
Like? Yes (3) | No
Rajkumar Madanoli   4 years ago
50K=2000 so, K Numbers=40. Now 91 is to be added.
New average = 50(Average)+41(Extra and this extra is distributed among all the numbers , as their will be 41 number after including 91.)

Q The length of a rectangle is decreased by 10% but the area remains the same. Then, percentage
increase in the breadth of the rectangle is ? plz explain
Reply Like? Yes (1) | No
aman aditya   4 years ago
Let Suppose,
Length = 10
Breadh = 18
So, Area = 18 * 10 = 180
Now length is decreased by 10% so new length = 9
Area = l * b
180 = 9 * b
b =20

Difference in breadth = (20 - 18) = 2
% change = (2 * 100)/18 = 11.1 % Ans

Take Lcm of 4,5,6 which is 60.that means interval will be 60 and numbers are 240,300,360,420,480,540 not 600 bcz asked lying between therefore answer will be 6.i hope it will be helpful @RAMAKRISNA

lcm of 4,5,6=60
therefore all multiple of 60 will be divisible by 4,5,6.
so the exactly 6 number is divsible by 4,5,6

c) 6
bcoz lcm of 4,5,6 is 60. so only the multiples of 60 will be the num tht r divisle by 4,5,6.
btwn 200-600 the mltples of 60 are 240,300,360,420,480,540,600. total 7

Q: one side of a square is increased by 30%. To maintain to same area other side will have to be decreased by ?
Reply Like? Yes (1) | No
SunNy Yadav   4 years ago
Let the side of square be .. = 10
Then area of square =>
10×10 = 100
Now,
One side is increased by 30%,
10×130/100 = 13
Let other side be decreased by x ,
So area of square
13×(10-x) = 100
130-13x = 100
x = 30/13
So the other side decreased by 30/13 %

Q: Tom is chasing Jerry. In the same interval of time Tom jumps 8 times while Jerry jumps 6 times. But the distance covered by Tom in 7 Jumps is equal to the distance covered by Jerry in 5 Jumps. The ratio of speed of Tom and Jerry is ?

Rishu   4 years ago
40/42

let distance be d and time interval be t

distance covered by tom in one jump=d/7
distance covered by jerry in one jump=d/5

time taken by tom for one jump=t/8
time taken by jerry for one jump=t/6

speed=distance/time

toms speed=(distance covered in one jump)/(time taken for one jump)
=(d/7)/(t/8)=8d/7t
similarly,
jerrys speed=(d/5)/(t/6)=6d/5t

toms speed/jerrys speed=(8d/7t)/(6d/5t)=40/42
