diifference b/w 2 no's is 4 and their product is 17. then find sum of their squares?

let the 2 no's be x and y
difference of 2 no's is 17 i.e., x-y=4
product is 17 i.e.,xy=17
we need to find x^2+y^2
(x-y)^2=(4)^2
x^2+y^2-2xy=16
x^2+y^2-2(17)=16
x^2+y^2=16+34
x^2+y^2=50
Therefore,sum of their squares is 50

if we take 25 means 25*25=625
