i think 224 is odd bcz sum of digits of remaining number gives odd number but sum of digits of 224 is even so i think 224 is odd...

Rekha was asked to add 40 to a certain number and then divide the result by 8. Instead she first added 8 and and then divided by 40. Her result was 5. Had she followed the instructions correctly, by how much would her result have differed from the incorrect result?

But=> (x+8)/40=5 =>x=192
So actual is 29
=> difference = 29-5=24 is the ans(i think)

on equating eq1 and eq2 we get
2a+49d=0.....3
sum of first 50 nos=50/2{2a+(50-1)d}=25{2a+49d}....eq4
substituting eq3 in eq4
25(0)=0;
