let x be the C.P., then profit% = x

Now,
we know that, profit= S.P. - C.P.
then, profit= 144 - x

and profit % =(profit/c.p.)*100

put the value of C.P. and profit

x = ((144-x)/x)*100
x^2 + 100x - 14400=0
by solving above equation we will get,
x= 80 Ans.

It's easy to crack AMCAT exam, concentrate on amcat syllabus given on amcat site. There would be 5 section on AMCAT, and they will provide you separate time for each section. if you are from CSE or IT then you have two one extra optional subject either if you want to attend optional subject or you can choose only programming, it's totally depended upon you. I will suggest only programming part don't go with computer science part because it's little difficult as compare to other sections. English, Quantitative, Logical, and Personality development skills are compulsory sections. Computer and Programming are optional section.

11 is read as "two 1s" or 21.
21 is read as "one 2,one 1" or 1211.
1211 is read as "one 1,one 2,two 1s" or 111221.
111221 is read as "three 1s,two 2s,one 1" or 312211

and if it is so then logic will be...

1
one 1 = 11
two 1 = 21
one 2 and one 1 = 1211
one 1, one 2, two 1 = 111221
so....
three 1, two 2, one 1 = 312211
