In this type of question we have to take LCM of the given digits.
So the LCM of 24,30,40&48 will be 2880
So all the wheels will come together again after 2880 Minutes i.e after 48 hours.

You have a block of platinum that can be exchanged in your bank either for cash
or for smaller blocks of platinum. If you exchange a block of m grams, you get
three blocks of weight m/2, m/3 and m/4 grams each. You don't get any fractional
part, as the division process rounds down the value. If you exchange the block of
platinum for cash, you get m units of currency. You can do any number of
exchanges for smaller blocks or currency.
Given the value of a block in grams as input, write a program that would print the
largest possible currency value that you can receive as the output. Assume that
the maximum value of a block that can be given as an input is 1,000,000,000
grams and the minimum value is 2 grams.
Sample input 1
12
Sample output 1
13
Explanation: You can change 12 into blocks

Solution please ?

there are two mixtures of alcohol and water the quantity of alcohol in them being 25% and 75% of the mixture. if two gallons of first is mixed with 3 gallons of second, what will be the ratio of alcohol to waster in the new mixture?
Like? Yes (1) | No
Reply

Devendra Marghade   8 years ago
11/9

In 1st mixture: 25% alcohol, so 75% water, hence ratio of alcohol and water = 1/3
In 2nd mixture: 75% alcohol, so 25% water, hence ratio of alcohol and water = 3/1
In 2 gallons of 1st mixture, quantity of alcohol = 2x1/4=1/2 and water = 2x 3/4=3/2 gallons
In 3 gallons of 2nd mixture, quantity of alcohol =3x3/4=9/4 and water = 3x1/4=3/4 gallons
So in new mixture, alcohol =1/2 + 9/4 =11/4 and water=3/2 + 3/4 =9/4 gallons.
Hence ratio of alcohol and water = (11/4) / (9/4) = 11/9

A takes 15 steps for every 11 steps B takes.if one step of A is 3 Metres and that of B is 2.5 metres and B is 175 metres ahead of A,then what is the distance traveled by A to overtake B?
answer plz
Like? Yes (1) | No
Reply

Devendra Marghade   8 years ago
450 m.

15 step of A = 11 step of B
As 1 step of A is 3 m & B is 2.5 m, so (15x3) m or 45 m of A = (11x2.5) m or 27.5 m of B.
i.e when A and B are running in same direction,to cover relative difference of (45-27.5)m=17.5 m, A has to travel 45 m, so to cover 175 m, A will travel 175x45/17.5 m = 450 m.

Your challenge is to understand various ways of visualizing data and use that knowledge
to communicate to us. As the youth of the country, you represent the citizens of
tomorrow. We wish to understand your aspirations.
1. Visualize how you would like to spend the income you earn over the next 30 years.
What will your top 5 expenditures be?
2. Visualize how you would like your home (where you live) to look like 30 years from
now. Feel free to include any detail you wish (possessions, animals, people etc.)
3. Visualize how you would like the city/town/village that you would like to live in to
look like? Please give the name of your village/town (including the state and country),
and your vision for the place after 30 years.
4. Visualize your daily diet. (For eg. roti and daal) Visualize the nutritional value of the
food you described.
5. What food would you would like to see on your plate on a daily basis 30 years from
now. Visualize the food and the quantity of food. What would you like the next
generation of youth to eat.
