Ans is 20
Let paul was x year old that time, then peter is 2x year old now.
Now if paul is y year old now, then peter was y year old that time.
Let time is t
So y+t=2x
x+t=y
Given 2x+y=35
By solving, peter's present age 2x=20 year

Other way- let peter's age p and paul's age q
p=2(q-(p-q))
And p+q=35
By solving
p=20 year

12 men's 1day work= 1/54 and 20 women's 1 day work= 1/54, so
9 men's, 1 day work=9/(54*12)= 1/72
12 women's, 1 day work=12/(54*20)= 1/90
As 1 day's work of 9 men & 12 women=(1/72)+(1/90)=1/40
So whole work will be completed in 40 days.

so 6 men=10 women;
in 2nd case we can say 6 men and 5 women or 15 women;
since 5 women can do in 12 days
so 15 women can do in(5*12/15)=4days

let x be the amount .... and invested amount in both fields are 3x and 2x resp...
profit is 25 % so 125*3x = 555x and the loss is 10 % so 90*2x = 180x.....let this be the new amount after invested....
before investing -----------> 100*3x +100*2x = 500x...
to calculate profit or loss = ( 555x - 500x) *100
--------------------- = 11 ( profit )

Perpendicular from the center will divide both the parallel chords in two equal parts, forming two right angled triangle with hypotenuse=radius=20
If perpendicular distance of the longer chord from the center =x, then
x^2+ 16^2= 20^2, x=Sqrt(400-256)=12 &
If the distance between two chords= y, then
(x+y)^2 + 12^2 =20^2,
substituting x=12, we get 12+y =Sqrt(400-144) or y=4

I think Niveditha Ravichandran has already answered it.
First of all, you need to know that, 1 Cubic Meter = 1000 Litres. If you know it, then it is very easy.
According to the given problem, volume of the water tanker = length*breadth*height = 4*2*1 = 8 Cubic Meter = 8*1000 = 8000 Litres.
Given, each plant in a nursery requires 2 litres of water for a day.
Hence, number of plants for which this water is sufficient = 8000 / 2 = 4000. (Answer)
