Ans: 9 mins

Solution:

Lets assume the capacity of the tank is x lit.
The filling rate of pipe A = x/37.5 lit/min
The filling rate of pipe B = x/45 lit/min

The tap is opened for the full time of half an hour i.e = 30 mins.
Lets assume tap B is opened for y mins.

Therefore tap A fills (x/37.5)*30 lits
tap B fills (x/45) *y lits
The total would be equal to the tank capacity.
Therefore (30x/37.5) + xy/45 =x -----> y/45 = 1-30/37.5 ---> y = 0.2 * 45 mins = 9 mins.

Ifx=2 then y=30 not possible
Then x=3, y= 15 z= 2
Here x, y, z are no of buffaloes, cows and goats respectively.
Therefore No. of buffaloes= 3,
No. of Cows= 15,
No of goats= 2
