Which of the following is a pair of co-primes?
(1) (16, 62) (2) (18, 25) (3) (21, 35) (4) (23, 92)
Reply Like? Yes | No
Varun   8 years ago
Co-prime means : they don't share common factor other than 1,( Or their HCF/GCD is 1)
Here 18,25 don't share any common factors other than 1. Hence it is the pair of co-primes.
18's factor : 1,2,3,6,9,18
25's factor : 1,5,25
Common factor is 1 only (and also 1 itself is the HCF)

16,62 share common factor 2
21,35 share common factor 7
23,92 share common factor 23 which are sufficient to prove that they are not co-prime to each other.
Like? Yes | No
kanimozhi kalimuthu   8 years ago
for options 1,2 and 3 the highest common factor is not 1.
for 23 and 92 the highest common factor is 1.
hence option 4.

Let cost prizlce of each pencil is 1 rs. Cost price of 12 pencils is 12 rs.
Loss = 4 rs. ( cost price of 4 pencils )
Selling price = 12 - 4 = 8 rs.
But according to question selling price = 400

If 8 = 400 then 12 = 600
I.e. cost price of 12 pencils = 600.
Cost price of 1 pencil = 50 rs.

Aptitute tests are very easy. The concepts are from standard 8-10, maybe 11 & 12 also. You only need to manage time and do a question in 2-3 minutes. Practice for a small time, like 1-2 hrs every day.

Aptitude tests will have 3 sections:
1. quants: chapters like Probability, Permutation & Combination, Area, Number systems are very important.
2. Logical: try and solve puzzles, seating arrangement problems and cryptarithmetic.
3. verbal: comprehension, fill in the blanks, complete the sentance, error checking. It tests your english

For campus recruitment you can buy R.S Aggarwal - Quants and Verbal+Non-verbal book.
For competitive exams like AMCAT, elitmus go for Arun Sharma.

Good luck.

As part of the evaluation, you need to do a programming exercise. You could do this using any programming language of your choice. We are expecting you to complete this in 2-3 days. (Latest by 31st August 2017).

The exercise is to do mathematical operation with roman numerals (I, V, X, L....). .. For example , it should be able to do the operations like these..

XL + X = L
C - I = XCIX
C / X = X
X * X = C

The program should take 3 arguments like the above and give the result.( two operands and the operator and perform the operation and print the output )

There should be a unit test for the program (using any unit testing framework) as well.

The program should run using the relevant compiler/interpreter. It should be well-written and follow coding standards.

If earlier 100 items were sold for Rs 100 ( each item for Rs. 1), income was Rs 100.
Now for price of each item has fallen to Rs 0.7 and volume is 120, then income = 120*0.7= 84.
so 16% drop in income.

Two taps A and B can fill a cistern in 12 min. and 18 min. respectively . They are turned on at the same time. If the tap A is turned off after 4 min., how long will tap B take to fill the rest of the cistern?

Here we have to take the LCM of 12 & 18 which is 36. So the total water will be 36 unit and Pipe A fills (36/12)=3 units per minutes and Pipe B fills (36/18)=2 units per minutes.
Now both the Pipe opened for 4 minutes so in first 4 minutes (3+2)=5*4= 20 unit water will be filled.
Now after that B will have to fill the remaining part which it can be done in 16/2= 8 minutes.
