Time taken while running in same direction=(100+160)/(x-y)=10.4 or x-y=25 ---(i) and
Time taken while running in opposite direction=(100+160)/(x+y)=4 or x+y=65 ---(ii)
On solving (i) & (ii), x=45, y=20

There are 50 benches.

600 = (b+10) * r [Where b= benches; r= number of people on every benche]
600 = b * (r+2)

Solving the above two you will get b = 5r. This on substituting in any one of the equation you would get a quadratic equation.
r^2 + 2r -120 = 0

r= 10 is the valid value; also b= 50. Hope you could work this out!

no of persons cannot be negative
so x=10
then we get n as 60
there are 10 benches less
60-10=50
totally 50 benches are there

Here side of square=Sqrt(49)=7, so radius of each circle=7/2=half of the side of square.
Four touching circles at a corner of squares will have 1/4 area inside & 3/4 area outside of a square.
So Area of four circles outside the square=4*(3/4)*Area of each circle=3*Pi*radius^2
=3*(22/7)*(7/2)^2
=115.5

=100!(1+ A number ending in zero)
=100! * A number ending in one

Thus it is sufficient to find the number of zeroes in 100! which is calculable.
{100/5} + {100/25} + {100/125} + .... [Where {x} denotes greatest integer function of x]
=20+4+0+0+0+...
=24 zeroes.

The timing of puzzle is not right. Because you are telling that each and every one must open the portal on 11.00 a.m. to gain maximum points but I am having problem with this as we have to go to college and I can't open in time. Two workers A and B manufactured a batch of identical parts. A worked for 2 hours and B worked for 5 hours and they did half the job. Then they worked together for another 3 hours and they had to do (1/20)th of the job. How much time does B take to complete the job, if he worked alone?

Solve this...
1 lady took a piggy bank at the age of 20 and used put 250/- on her every birthday. But her brother used to take 50/- back from the piggy bank box on his birthday for his requirement.
The lady died at the age of 60 and when the box was opened the money left was only 500/-....

How??? Can anyone explain?

the lady birthday was on leap year,ie on 29feb. till her death, she had put 250*10=2500 on her piggy bank. but her bro bday was on the leap year and he took 50*40=2000 rupees.. and thus the money left was only 500.

I didn't answered the question before 11:27 considering that question is wrong and informed you.

it should be like.
Rs. 1092 in place of Rs. 1902
then the answer will be 1000

I want to know that how you are calculating time? everyday i am confusing about your timing. when i solve a math i thought that time was 1 min or 2 min. But you calculated 1 hour or 2 hours. How it works? I don't know. Please inform me about timing calculation. If you inform me then i will careful about timing. I am waiting for your answer.

Hi Billal everyday puzzle comes @ 11 am sharp and from 11 am timing started . If you start solving puzzle @ 12:01 pm and finish @ 12:02 pm then time will be calculated as 01 hr 01 min.... hope now its clear

Sir I m a btch 2014 pass out with ece and have also 2diplomas one of electronic engg and one of master diploma in computer.. After btch I prepared for government sector in railway.. But after some time when I didn't get good results I went to learn languages c,java,,which I have learnt now..and then my some results Came out and I have given 2nd tier xm of that now the first tier result came in 8 months so no hope when the next result will come...so what should I do now..I should go in prvt sector and shud give eltms and amcat or I have to give more government xm and wait for result ..I want a settled life in a less span of time...right now I m very confused that what shud I do bcs in raiway department there are some new vcncy which was aspected after 2-3 yrs ...so I was preparing for elitmus from last15 days ..what shud I do now...in which sector I have to go...which will be advantageous for me..pls friends and everyone suggest me what shud I do ....I need useful advices..
