m^4+(1/m^4)=47
m^1+m^-1=m+(1/m) , If m+(1/m) =x, then
[m+(1/m)]^2=x^2 , m^2+2+(1/m^2) =x^2 or m^2+(1/m^2)=x^2 - 2
Again [m^2 +(1/m^2)]^2=(x^2 -2)^2
m^4+2+(1/m^4) =x^4- 4x^2 +4
Given m^4+2+(1/m^4)=47, So x^4 -4x^2+4=47 or x^4 - 4x^2 - 45=0
Substituting x^2=a, to get quadratic equation, a^2- 4a -45=0 or (a+5)(a-9)=0, a=9
As x^2=a=9, x=3

option 4 is 58.34 which is nearer not approax
earlier i marked it but later changed to option 10 ie none of these.

Imagine that two divisions of the Pandava army are camped outside an enemy camp of
Kauravas commanded by Bhishma. Each division is commanded by its own general;
Saatyaki and Yudhishtra. The two generals can communicate with one another only by
messengers, who might get caught by the Kauravas. After observing the Kaurava camp,
Saatyaki and Yudhistra must each decide independently whether to attack the Kauravas
or not. Then they must each communicate their plan to the other through messengers.
Upon receiving a message from the other, both Saatyaki and Yudhistra must decide a
common plan of action. The Pandavas can succeed only when both Saatyaki and
Yudhishtra attack the Kaurava camp at the same time.

Let X be the total employees of the company.
Derived, (100 - 70)% = 30% received bonuses of less than 10,000.
Given, 60 employees received bonuses of less than 10,000.
Hence, X * (30/100) = 60
=> X = 200.
Therefore, (40 - 20)% = 20% of 200 i.e. 40 employees received bonuses of at least 50,000 but less than 1,00,000. Option (D) 40 is correct. (A) 80 was a typo. I beg your pardon. Thanks.

36 solutions

According to given condition, for the sum of 30, set of three non-negative inters x,y,z will be (0,1,29) (0,2,28) (0,3,27) (1,2,27) (1,3,26) (2,3,25).
As each set will form a 6 possible solutions e.g. (0,1,29) (0,29,1) (1,0,29) (1,29,0) (29,0,1) (29,1,0)
With such 6 sets above , total 6*6=36 number of solutions are possible.

I couldn't upload the name of my engineering college in the "SELECT YOUR COLLEGE" category as in the "Select Your State" drop down box you didn't have mentioned the name of Bihar . We have IIT , NIT and many state government and a few private engineering colleges. I sincerely suggest you to do it as early as possible as it looks awkward to see many week toppers from my state who could not upload the name of their colleges.
