Great!!! I didn't see any restriction that x-3 cannot be negative inside the square root.
As far as i know, sqaure root of negative numbers do exist...

hrs.how many hrs will be required for B to copy 26 papers?

B alone can copy 20 papers in 10 hrs
Time required for B to copy 26 papers = 26*10/20 = 13 hrs

The difference of a 3 digit positive number and the formed by reversing the digits of the number is 99. Sum of the digits at units and thousands place is 11 and tens place is 1 less then the units place. Product of the 2 numbers will be......

accepted number is 645.

according to given conditions,
556 is the other number which satisfies given conditions.
5+6=11
tens digit (5) is one less than digit at unit place (6).

In that case , answer will be different.
Thank God , I gave the answer matching with answer of admin.

for puzzle, f k^2 + k < 6
and k > 0
then maximum value of k will be 2 ( as per ur answer)
if k=2, then
k^2+2 = 4+2=6 which is not less than 6.

How k=2 can be acceptable in given conditions ?

Pls do not make fun of maths.
Answer can not be 2.

I think option 1 should be accepted or otherwise none of these can be accepted as k can have value 1.999999999999 ........9 but less than 2.
