Feeling great to have entered among top 10 challengers and almost at the same time have also achieved 51 approved referrals :)(Refer Score: 96)!!!
The secret behind the high refer score is this page:

Dear Admin,
Aren't their any rewards for 50+ approved referrals?

answer given on 30/6/2011 is wrong....
because the question says that marks between ram and shaym... that means answer should be 98/97 = 1.013. so option 10 is the correct answer...

please check the question again....

Pls check the qn.

After every hour a number increases 15 % of its present value. How many times it will increase in 8 hours.

Pls check that new value will become 3 times the original value after 8 hours but the no of times , its value is increased is 2 times.
The qn is about increase in value and not about final value.
so answer should be 2 times and not 3 times.

@ Kalpana,
A person goes to office either by car, jeep, bus or train. The probabilities of which being 2/7, 3/7, 1/7 ,1/7 respectively. The probability that he reaches office later if he takes jeep, bus, car or train is 2/9, 1/9, 5/9, 2/9 respectively.

pls note that here sum of prob. of using car, jeep, bus or train is 1.The probability that he reaches office later if he takes jeep, bus, car or train is 2/9, 1/9, 5/9, 2/9 respectively.
The probability that he reaches office in time if he takes jeep, bus, car or train is 7/9, 8/9, 4/9, 7/9 respectively. These prob have no relation with other mode . But sum of prob of reaching late or not using a particular mode is 1.

I can't understand the explanation for 28 Apr,2o11 Question. The Question Was "A person goes to office either by car, jeep, bus or train. The probabilities of which being 2/7, 3/7, 1/7 ,1/7 respectively. The probability that he reaches office later if he takes jeep, bus, car or train is 2/9, 1/9, 5/9, 2/9 respectively. If he reaches office in time, then the probability that he travelled by car is" but answer explanation was " the probability that he travelled by car is 2/7
The probability that he reaches office later if he takes car is 5/9
So probability that he reaches office in time by car =(2/7)*(4/9)= 8/63
Similarly probability for jeep = (3/7)*(7/9) = 21/63
Similarly probability for bus = (1/7)*(8/9) = 8/63
Similarly probability for train = (1/7)*(7/9) = 7/63
so required probability = (8/63)/(8/63)+(21/63)+(8/63)+(7/63)= 8/44 = 2/11" First how comes "(8/63)/(8/63)+(21/63)+(8/63)+(7/63)=8/44" ?

In this puzzle

A man has four pants of blue, grey, black and light black colours. His shirts colours are white, red, lined blank and box black. How many pairs of shirt and pant are possible. If following combinations are not allowed.
1) He doesn't put on blue pant and red shirt.
2) He puts on grey pant with only box black shirt

Please confirm whether this statement is correct

If following combinations are not allowed.

I think there is one condition which is not allowed and other condition should be allowed.

I think the statement should be

"Q. The total cost of 6 Kg. X, 5 Kg. Y and 7 Kg. Z is 125 rupee. Select any one of the following set of rates for X, Y and Z respectively."

Dear Admin,
Pls check again .
I agree with Mahesh and Reddy brothers.

In the statement of coin puzzle, it clearly indicates that Tail has already occured in a coin. It means now dice is to be thrown and coin is not to be flipped again.

So the probability of getting even no will be 1/2 as 3 favourable chances out of 6 possible chances.

Dear Sandeep Reddy M,If you will read carefully, you will get the real sence of the question.
The question of friday was "A tail has occurred in a coin, then probability of getting an even number in the dice would be"
It doesn't mean that the tail will come in the first coin, there is also a case in which head will come first after that tail will come so totally 7 cases are there in which 3 cases are favourable. Thus probability is 3/7

in which 3 are favor

A coin is thrown. If head comes, a coin will be thrown again, otherwise a dice will be thrown. A tail has occurred in a coin, then probability of getting an even number in the dice would be 1/2 and not 3/7. because tail has already occured.
now dice will be thrown.
then possible positions are 1,2,3,4,5,6 and favourable positions are 2,4,6....... 3 chances.

so probability =3/6=1/2
