Then from that point 8 km east so total of 11km east and 5km north
So at north east line sqrt(11^2 + 5^2)

It is an A.P with d=2. Therefore,a=100,l=300. we know,tn=a+(n-1)d.
300=100+(n-1)2.From this we find,n=101.
Now sum of A.P=Sn= n/2(a+l).
By solving ,you will get 20200.

two alloys A and B are composed of two basi elements .the ratios of compositions of the two basic elements areare 5:3 and 1:2 respectively.a new alloy x is formed by mixing the two alloy A and B in the ratio of 4:3 .wat is the ratio of composition of the two basic elements in the alloy X?
Reply Like? Yes (3) | No
mohit ranjan basak   12 years ago
Let the actual amount of A be 4x and actual amount of B be 3x since A and B are in the ratio 4/3
amount of first basic element in the new alloy T (5/8)*4x + (1/3)*3x = (7x)/2

amount of second basic element in the new alloy T (3/8)*4x + (2/3)*3x= (7x)/2

so ratio of first basic element to second basic element: [(7x)/2 ] / [ 7x/2] = 1/1 = 1:1

11) A permutation is often represented by the cycles it has. For example, if we permute the numbers in the natural order to 2 3 1 5 4, this is represented as (1 3 2) (5 4). In this the (132) says that the first number has gone to the position 3, the third number has gone to the position 2, and the second number has gone to position 1, and (5 4) means that the fifth number has gone to position 4 and the fourth number has gone to position 5. The numbers with brackets are to be read cyclically. If a number has not changed position, it is kept as a single cycle. Thus 5 2 1 3 4 is represented as (1345)(2).We may apply permutations on itself If we apply the permutation (132)(54) once, we get 2 3 1 5 4. If we apply it again, we get 3 1 2 4 5 , or (1 2 3)(4) (5)
If we consider the permutation of 7 numbers (1457)(263), what is its order(how many times must it be applied before the numbers appear in their original order)?

a. 12 b. 7 c. 7! d. 14

I appreciate your hard work that you have put for the completion of the project. The customer billing project completed because of your extra working hours and dedication towards it. You worked weeks and nights and this behaviour of yours won our hearts. The client was very happy by the way the work was carried out. The manager was also appreciating the work done. This beyond the call of duty work would one day make you very successful.
Keep it up

ans :a) 12 yrs, 44 yrs
father's age=x
son's age=y
x+y=56 ->equation 1
after 4 years (x+4)=3(y+4) ->equation 2
from equation 1 we will get y=56-x
substitute y value in equation 2
x+4=3((56-x)+4)
x+4=168-3x+12
x+3x=180-4
4x=176
x=176/4
x=44 -> Father's age
then substitute y value to equation 1
44+y=56
so we get y=56-44
son's age y=12

It is actually based on Binary search. Since, the numbers are in alphabetical order of names, she can call the last number and ask his name. Based on the response, she picks up 305/2 = 152 nd number. Then, 152/2 = 76 th number, then 76/2 = 38th number, 38/2 = 19 th number, 19/2 = 9th number, 9/2 = 4th number, 4/2 = 2nd number, 2/2 = 1st number. So, she has to make minimum 9 calls. Each call duration is 2 minutes. So, she takes 18 minutes.

=1200/60=20

Is it necessary to follow the patter of phrases in e mail writing in tcs verbal round?
Reply Like? Yes (2) | No
SAMBASIVAN   12 years ago
Yes. We have to use to the phrases or words given as they are mentioned in the questions. It is because software will only verify the answers and it will recognise the phrases given only. best wishes--sambasivan, faculty.

Box of fruits can be loaded into a truck in 9 minutes by a worker. And 8 boxes will fill a truck completely. How many trucks can be loaded in 1 ½ hours if there are 16 men together. a. 1 b. 2 c. 3 d. 0

srividhya   12 years ago
A man can load a box in 9 min and a truck has 8 boxes which implies a man take(9*8) ie 72 min to load a truck.
1 man...72 min
16 men....?? ie 72/16 ie 4.5 min
which says 16 men can load a truck in 4.5 min
In 1 and 1/2 hr.ie 90 min they are able to load 20 trucks
