In 3 years , the interest is 2 times the principal amount. in 12 years, the interest is 8 times the principal amount.

Hence total non defective balls in the beg are = x-143x/216=73x/216
Given that total defective balls in the beg are 146
Hence 73x/216=146

Blue balls = 2/3 of x

Pink ball = x - 2x/3

= x/3

Now,

Defective Blue balls = 5/9 of (2/3 of x)
