(720 * 5 * t )/100 + 720 = 850
t = 68/18
substituting in first equation,
(x*6*68/18)/100 + x= 584
on solving x=476rs

I think question is incomplete or all conclusion are false.
because 2nd statement shows that no pencils are book so no relationship exist between both of them as per the statement.
However other than that there may be any relationship may be there.
but here we only consider statement as TRUE.

three digit can be fromed using(0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9)
last two digits must be same so possibilities are(00,11,22,33,44,55,66,77,88,99)

when last two digits are filled as 00 then 1st digit can be filled as 9 ways so possibilities are 9*1=9
when last two digits are filed with other than 00(9 ways) 1st digit can be filled in 8 ways bcz 0 should not be included so total ways are(9*8)=72

so whwn repitions are allowed total ways =72+9=81 i think

as per question:
Rs 1000 will give an interest of Rs 0.1 for 1 month.
Rs 1 will give an interest of Rs 0.1/1000 for 1 month.
Rs 100 will give an interest of Rs 0.1/1000*100= .01 for 1 month.
Rs 100 will give an interest of Rs .01*12= .12 for 12 month.

so interest rate is .12 %

Now simple interest on rs 8000 for 2 years: 8000*.12* 2 /100 =19.2

= (76700/51) litres
total amount spent = (3*4000) = 12000
therfore average cost = (12000*51) / 76700 = 6120/767 = Rs 7.98

To check a no is divisibility of no by 8 just check last 3 digit will be divisible by 8 or not
in this problem 100 will be last 3 digit:
100% 8= 4

Let a and b be digits at tens and ones place respectively .
Then the number is 10*a+b.
And square of sum of digits is (a+b)*(a+b).
According to the problem statement:
(a+b)*(a+b)- (10*a+b) =18 ---***
By rearranging we get,

(a+b)*(a+b)-(a+b)=9*(a+2)
Let a+b =t , and 9*(a+2)=k
t*t-t-k =0
Solution for above equation is
0.5+sqrt(1+4k)/2
We know that a+b is an in tiger. So 1+4k should be a perfect square.
1+4k= 73+36a.
a can be any digit between 1 and 9.
If we check , we can find that a can be 6 and 8. Then substituting these in equation *** gives b as 3and 2.

So, finally our 2 digit number can be
63 or 82.
