Q. What is the output of the program given below

Here u mentioned ans as -128.
Can you explain me in the question the value of i is not initialized inside "for loop" so does it give error? why does it works only till 128? char can not store 128 or even 127 and below numbers? I mean will it prefix all other numbers also with - sign.

Compiler will not give any error. Because u initialize the value of i in char i=0. This line tells the for loop that i=0.So no require to initialize again.After the for loop there is ; sign . It tells the end of for loop. First i=0 the condition is true .Next i increase to 1 , it is also true. So the for loop will continue up to 127. Because the upper limit of char is 127. Then i will increase to 128, it is not in the range of char. So compiler will convert it to -128. So updated value of i is -128. But it contradicts the condition. So it will exit from for loop and print the value of i as -128.
