A circle has 29 points arranged in a clock wise manner numbered from 0 to 28, as shown in the figure below. A bug moves clockwise around the circle according to the following rule. If it is at a point i on the circle, it moves clockwise in 1 second by (1+r) places, where r is the remainder (Possibly 0) when i is divided by 17. Thus if it is at position 5, it moves clockwise in one second by (1+5) places to point 11. Similarly, if it is at position 28 it moves (1+11) or 12 places to point 11 in one second.
If it starts at point 0, at what point will it be after 2012 seconds?

From now the series is repeats. The positions which it crossed inthe first 8 sec are repeats up to 2012sec.
When devide 2012 by 8 we get 4 as remainder. So the position at 2012 sec is same as 4th sec i.e15

At the time pipe c closed the tank filled 1/3 part. So A and B together fill the2/3 rd of tank in 7 hrs . The time taken by both together to fill ful tank is 7×(3/2)=21/2 hrs
(1/c)+(2/21)=1/6 => c=14 hrs. C can fill the tank aalone in 14hrs
