this summation can be defined by reverse recurssion
if you want the sum of the factorials from 1 to n then start with
s(n) = n
and then
s(i) = i * ( 1 + s(i+1) )
and s(1) gives the summation
for example if n=4 we have
s(4)=4
s(3)=3*(4+1)=15
s(2)=2*(15+1)=32
s(1)=1*(28+1)=33
which agrees with
1!+2!+3!+4! = 1+2+6+24

using a computer program and using this recurssion method I get the sum as
31035053229546199656252032972759319953… The answer is 3.1035*10^64

24 cups of tea = 600 . So each Cup of tea costs 25rupees.
therefore 8 cups of tea = 200. so remaining money with him is 2000. i.e, 2200-200=2000.
As 15 cups of coffee costs 1000.
therefore for 2000 he can purchase 30 cups of coffee.

From Monday To Friday a puzzle is asked at 11 AM, you can attempt the question before 12 in midnight. if you answer the question correctly you get points (15 points). In a market 4 men are standing. The average age of the four before 4years is 45, after some days one man
is added and his age is 49. What is the average age of all?

solution:
it's just simple

4-men .it is before 4 yrs.so we go for addition
45+4=49yrs
present age=49*4=196
added men=49*5=245
245-196=49.

4 years ago the average is 45.
lets consider age be 45 45 45 45.
after 4 years their ages will be 49 49 49 49 so the average is 49.
Now when a person whose age is 49 is added to their age the average remains 49.

vasanthapriyan   12 years ago
let the cost price is rs.100
increase 33.33% => 133.33
now reduce discount 10% => 119.997 => 120
so the profit is 20% on cost price
Like? Yes (1) | No
Sandeep R   12 years ago
Let cost price be 100
let it be increased by x%
then new price = 100+x/100*100=100+x
now on reducing it by 10% we will get 20% profit i.e. 20% on Rs. 100. So new amount =120
therefore:

(100+x)-10(100+x)/100=120
(100+x)-(100+x)/10=120
=>9(100+x)=1200
=>3(100+x)=400
=>100+x=400/3=133.33
=>x=33.33

Solve it mentally:

distance traveled by both in 6hrs is 54km and 90 km respectively.
so gap after 6 hrs is 36km.
new speed = 18 km/h and 15 km/h which means the person who started with 9km/hr will close the gap by 3km per hour. so he will take another 12 hours to close the gap of 36km.

hence total time taken = 6+12=18 hours.

A Train running at 40 kms/hr passes a person riding parallel to the railway line in the same direction at 25 kms/hr in 48 seconds. Find the length of the train

15km.
relative speed=(40-25)=15,so length=15*(48/3600)=1/5=.2km

relative velocity
(40-25)km/hr=15km/hr
15*1000/3600=25/6 m/s
distance=25*48/6
d=200m

let the number of no.s be x
therefore, 46x-52*4=44.5(x-4)
1.5x = 208-178
x = 20

let the original number of numbers in the set be x,
x*46 = 46x
4*52 = 208
46x-208 = 44.5(x-4)
=>x=20

At the end of year their shares are in the ratio of 12:5:6. Then mukesh share is 4600*(6/23)=1200.

raja:rakesh:mukesh
for 1st 4 months=4:5:0
next 8 months=4:0:3
final share=48:20:24
=>12:5:6
share of mukesh=(6/23)*4600=1200

final share 4:15:6
4x+15x+6x=4600

Karthika   12 years ago
Is it not 35 questions nd 80 minutes?? Am not sure about the cut off..I attended some mock tests in my college and I scored 19. and the average score by about 500 students was 11. But they said the cut off would generally be around 26,when it comes to real tests!!

ans : 12
M1*D1=M2*D2=> 1 man=2 children then we have to find total work.
16M*24=16*2*24=768
12 men started work so 12m*14=12*2*14=336

768-336=432
then 12M+12C=12*2c+12C=36
remaing work/36
=432/36
=12

assume 1man completes 1 unit of work....therfore 16man in 24days completes =16*24=384units...
48 children do the same work in 16days...
if x unit is d wrk done by one child then total work done is 48*x*16=384
x=0.5 units
12 men started d work n performs 14 days so work completed=12*14=168units
work left=384-168=216units
12children joins dem work done by them in one day is 12*0.5=6 units
total work done by 12 men and 12 children in one day is 12+6=18 units
therfore days needed=216/18=12days
