If speed of bike=x, then speed of a car=1.5x
According to given condition: (100/b) - (100/1.5b) =25/60

also there is 500/3 ml of water in 1 litre of mixture
when water is 500/3 ml milk is 2500/3 ml
so when water is 16 litre milk is ((2500/3)/(500/3))*16=80 litre

45=9*5
a number is divisible by 9 if its digital sum is divisible by 9
and a number is divisible by 5 if it ends with 0 or 5

1+2+3+.....+44=44(44+1)/2=990
9+9+0=18
1+8=9 which is divisible by 9

so x is divisible by 9

last digit of x/9 is 6 (since 9*6=54 or when 9 is multiplied by any number ending with 6, their product ends with 4)

when 6 is divided by 5 remainder is 1

so when x is divided by 45 the remainder is 1*9=9



this method works u can verify it by taking any other number which is divisible by 9 but not 5
eg: 423513/45
the last digit of 423513/9 is 7
when 7 is divided by 5 the remainder is 2
so when 423513 is divided by 45 the remainder is 2*9=18

Use Venn Diagram to solve this question.
If 27% were unsuccessful in both the exams this means 73% were successful.
then let x% be successful in both the exams
equation can be:
70 - x + x + 65 - x = 73
solving it we get , x = 62
thus 62% qualify both exams
so 70 - 62 = 8% students qualified only written exam and not interview.

Starting at 9:00 am ,distance covered by Asha upto 11:30 am @ 4 km/hr=2.5*4=10 km.
At 11:300 Nisha started @ 9 km/hr, to meet Asha she has to cover the difference of 10 km. with relative speed of 9-4=5 km/hr, so after 10/5=2 hr. at 11:30+2=1:30 pm both will meet.

1/z=1/12+1/y
z=1/(1/12+1/y)

z(max)=1/(1/12+1/infinity)=12
z(min)=1/(1/12+1/0)=0

so range of z varies from 0 to 12 for positive integral value of y

y=1/(1/z-1/12)

now substituting z=1,2.3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 in above equation we can easily conclude that y is a positive integer only when z=3,4,6,8

thus there are only 4 possible values of y & z according to given condition
