a = Dx +8 (x is the quotient )
a = 3Dy + 21 (y is the quotient )
So from above equations we get
D(x-3y) = 13
becoz 13 is prime, so x-3y has to be 1
let x = 4 and y = 1
We get a = 60 and D=13
2a = 120
So 120 when divided by 3D = 39 (when twice of number is divided by 3D)
we get remainder as 3 (120/39)
So answer is 3

let me give you simple logic if want to eat big cake piece in 4 days then u can eat 1/4th in 1st day&& 1/4th in second day && 1/4th in third day &&1/4 in fourthday .....means daily u are eating 1/4th of the cake(it means ur day work is 1/4) to finish it in 4 days.....similarily if u want to build a wall in 10 days then ur one day work should be 1/10th......and 1/10th is ur day work then how many days u can complete means...think it will take x days and ur xdays of day work should be 1 i.e., x(1/10)=1=>x=10
so follow this..and remember without thinking u cant solve aptitude questions just on formulaes....so keep practicing and think always....one day u will be in good position

I think question is incomplete or all conclusion are false.
because 2nd statement shows that no pencils are book so no relationship exist between both of them as per the statement.

when last two digits are filled as 00 then 1st digit can be filled as 9 ways so possibilities are 9*1=9
when last two digits are filed with other than 00(9 ways) 1st digit can be filled in 8 ways bcz 0 should not be included so total ways are(9*8)=72

so whwn repitions are allowed total ways =72+9=81 i think

Rs 1000 will give an interest of Rs 0.1 for 1 month.
Rs 1 will give an interest of Rs 0.1/1000 for 1 month.
Rs 100 will give an interest of Rs 0.1/1000*100= .01 for 1 month.
Rs 100 will give an interest of Rs .01*12= .12 for 12 month.

so interest rate is .12 %

Now simple interest on rs 8000 for 2 years: 8000*.12* 2 /100 =19.2

To check a no is divisibility of no by 8 just check last 3 digit will be divisible by 8 or not
in this problem 100 will be last 3 digit:
100% 8= 4

its very lengthy and complicated question it requires lots of calculation
i am not going to do that but still i am giving an idea to solve this problem
you have to make cases of all type of triangle such as
equilateral triangle: 3,6,9,12,15...........and so on
Isosceles triangle: 6,8,9,11 ...........and so on
Scalene triangle: 9,12 ...........and so on
try to make all case if not you will not get your answer
