From any one station 6 types of tickets to other stations must be available, so for 7 stations total 7*6=42 types of tickets should be printed.

ram and mohan start from A towards B 21kms apart, at 3 km/hr and 4 km/hr. mohan after reaching B turns back and meet ram at C. find the distance AC.
Reply Like? Yes (2) | No
Rajpoot   9 years ago
As for as I know and according to my calculations its 15.75km distance between A and Pioint C
Like? Yes (1) | No (1)
Rishu   9 years ago
ans is 18km

mohan will reach at B in 21/4hr
in 21/4hr ram will cover a distance of (21/4)*3=63/4km

so when mohan reaches at B, the distance between him & ram is 21-63/4=21/4km
also after reaching at B mohan turns back and start running in opposite direction toward ram
so relative speed between them is (3+4)=7km/hr
after reaching at B mohan will meet ram at C in (21/4)/7=3/4hr
in 3/4hr ram will cover a distance of (3/4)*3=9/4km
so AC=AD+DC=63/4+9/4=18km
thus the distance AC=18km

Four times removal of 1/10 spirit, then vessel holds [1-(1/10)]^4=(9/10)^4 or 0.6561 of the original
So % spirit removed= (1-0.6561)*100=34.39

17 = 5*3 + 1*2
total cost = 3*110 + 25*2 = 330 + 50 = 380

17 kg can be split into 15kg + 2kg

5kg costs 110 rs so 15kg costs 330rs -------->(1)
1kg costs 25 rs so 2kg costs 50rs -------->(2)
adding 1 and 2 = Rs.380

There are 3 Bags Bag 1 contains 10 bulbs 4 are defective. Bag 2 contains 8 bulbs 4 defective .Bag 3 contains 6 bulbs 3 defective .A bulb is chosen randomly from the bag find the probability ?

1)The bulb should be defective ?
Reply Like? Yes (1) | No
Devendra Marghade   9 years ago
7/15

Probability of selecting 1 bag from 3 =1/3
Selecting defective bulb from either bag 1, bag 2 or bag 3=(4/10)+(4/8)+(3/6)=7/5
So probability of selecting a defective bulb randomly from 3 bag= (1/3)(7/5)=7/15

a shopkeeper sells defective watches at a loss of 25% and others at a profit of 20% if his overall profit is 10% find the number of defective watches be sold if the total number wo watches being sold is 90
Reply Like? Yes (1) | No
Neelima Kongathi   9 years ago
No. of defective watches sold are 20

let no. of non-defective watches sold be 90-x
so that no. of defective watches sold are x
cost of each watch be c
the amount got by selling defective watches is (75*c/100)*x
the amount got by selling non-defective watches is (120*c/100)*(90-x)
the total amount got by seller is (110*c/100)*90
so,
(75*c/100)*x + (120*c/100)*(90-x) = (110*c/100)*90
by solving this, we get
x = 20
no. of defective watches sold are 20 :-)

number of defective watches = x
non defective = 90-x
cost of each watch = y
SP of non defective = (90-x)*(1.2y)
SP of defective = x* ( .75y)
total SP = 1.1*90*y
1.1*90y = (0.75x + 90*1.2 - 1.2x )y
99 = 108 - 0.45x
9 = 0.45x
x= 20

s^2+15s-4500=0
by verifying the options,
3rd option gets satisfied,
60^2+15*60-4500=0

Robert Bosch Interview Experience - Bangalore, September 29 2015
Placement Paper And Interview Experience.
Placement Paper:
It had 60 questions which were to be answered in 60 minutes. It had 35 Technical questions and 25 (Verbal+Quant+Logical). 1 Mark for right answer and -0.25 for wrong answer.

Technical Section (Electronics) : I had all questions mainly based on 8051 (PSW, SCON, TMOD, TCON register imp) , 8086 (Operating voltage-5V) , Transistors (FET and MOSFETS) , Op-amps, Digital Electronics (K-map simplification, Boolean eq simplification, Flip Flops, counters (MOD35 counter has how many flip flops?) , Control systems (Prob settling time-formula based), C program (Output based questions) Also try to refer previous year question papers it will help a lot.

Verbal was easy, Quant had questions based on averages, percentage, profit and loss, ratio n proportion etc. Logical had Blood relations, Sitting arrangement kind of question.

Time management is Very important.

Interview:

Out of 300 people who attended online test they shortlisted 75 for interviews.

It consisted of technical as well as HR interview.

Technical interview tests an individual about all his basic knowledge about his/her domain of study. For this being very strong with all the basics is very important.

Some of questions being asked to me were based on Filters, Op-amps, C++, Digital electronics, Micro-controller (8051, MSP430) , Transistors etc.

They asked about all the projects which I had mentioned in my Resume.

HR interview was good. Questions were Tell me about yourself, Positives and negatives, Why Bosch, Why should we hire you, Biggest achievement in life, Future goals etc.

L.C.M. of 2,3,4,6= 12
12/2=6
12/3=4
12/4=3
12/6=2
(2^1/2, 3^1/3, 4^1/4, 6^1/6) ^6
= 2^6, 3^4, 4^3, 6^2
= 64, 81, 64, 36
so 3^1/3 is largest

for 25+13=32

25-->5-2=3....A
13-->3-1=2....B
32-->3-2=1....C

ie =>A-B=C =>3-2=1;

for 70+26=30

70-->7-0=7....D
26-->6-2=4....E
30-->3-0=3....F

ie D-E=F =>7-4=3;

now final 26+13=?

26-->6-2=4;
13-->3-1=2;
?...it must be 4-2=2;

now 20-->2-0=2;
and 24-->4-2=2;

but answer will be 20.
because eqn.C=> 32-->left - right=1;

eqn.F=> 30-->left-right=3;

so answer is 20-->left-right=2;

The sum of series (5x+7y)+(8x+5y)+(11x+3y)+(14x+y)+.....up to 25 terms?
Reply Like? Yes (12) | No (1)
Devendra Marghade   9 years ago
1025x-425y

Taking Sum of two different arithmetic series as 5x, 8x, 11x, . . . with a=5x & d=3x ---(i) and
7y, 5y, 3y, . . . with a=7y & d=-2y ----(ii) for n=25 terms
Sum of Arithmetic series=(n/2)[2a+(n-1)d]
So Sum=(25/2)[2*5x+(25-1)*3x) + (25/2)[2*7y+(25-1)*(-2y)]=1025x - 425y

the number of factors(positive) of 1800?
Reply Like? Yes (1) | No
anjali gupta   9 years ago
prime factorization,
1800 = 2^3 * 3^2 * 5^2
Every integer N is the product of powers of prime numbers:
N = p^a * q^b * .... * r^c

Where, p, q, ..., r are prime, while a,b,... c are positive integers.
number of factors of N = (a+1)*(b+1)*.... * (c+1)
Here, number of positive factors of 1800 = (3+1)(2+1)(2+1) = 4*3*3 = 24

What is the remainder when 6^17+117^6 is divided by 7 ?
a) 1 b) 6 c) 0 d) 3
Reply Like? Yes (1) | No (1)
neha gupta   9 years ago
To solve this question , first break the LCM i.e. find the remainder when 6^17 is divided by 7
and then find remainder when 117^6 is divided by 7 :
as follows:
See, if even power of 6 is divided by 7, remainder is 1 and
if odd power of 6 is divided by 7, remainder is 6
so here power of 6 is 17(odd) so its remainder is 6
Now for 117,
if even power of 117 is divided by 7, remainder is 4
if odd power of 117 is divided by 7, remainder is 5
so here power of 117 is 6(even) so remainder is 4
now add both the remainders obtained i.e. 6 + 4 = 10
and when 10 is divided by 7 remainder is 3,
so its answer is 3 (option d).
Like? Yes (1) | No (2)
Rishu   9 years ago
c) 0

(6^17+117^6)=(7-1)^17+(112+5)^6=(-1)^17+5^6=(-1)+15625=15624=0mod7

so (6^17+117^6)=0mod7

Thus the remainder when (6^17+117^6) is divided by 7 is 0

If 3 is repeated 1001 times like thia 333333333........ what will be the remainder when divided by 1001 ?
Reply Like? Yes (1) | No
anjali gupta   9 years ago
Answer is 300
1 ---> 3% 1001= 3
2 ---> 33%1001= 33
3 ---> 333%1001= 333
4 ---> 3333%1001 = 330
5 ---> 33333%1001 = 300
6 ---> 333333%1001 = 0
this is cyclic ,
1001 % 6 = 5
remainder will be same as 33333
which is 300

a) 50 km b) 56 km
c) 70 km d) 80 km

answer plz

speed=distance/time
distance @10km be x
person walked at 14km : 14 = (x+20)/t
person walked at 10km : 10 =x/t
as time is same in both cases
x/10 =(x+20)/14
x=50km

speed of faster boat=a
speed of slower boat=b
speed of stream=x
time= dist/speed
downstream,
1.5*d/(a+x) = d/(b+x)
since speed of a downstream= a+x
and of b = b+x
on solving u get,
3(b+x)=2(a+x).. eq 1

upstream,
speed of a= a-x
speed of b= b-x
d/(a-x)=d/(2*(b-x))
on solving u get,
a-x=2(b-x).. eq 2

distance = speed * time
1*(a-b)=8
a=8+b.. eq 3

put a=8+b in eq 1
u get,
b=16-x
put this value of b in eq 2
u get x=4, b=12, a=20
Answer is 20 which is speed of faster boat :)
