192000 Rs.

With compound interest=r, 12000[1+(r/100)]^5=24000, [1+(r/100)]^5=2
As [1+(r/100)]^20=[1+(r/100)]^5*4=2^4=16
So 12000[1+(r/100)]^20=12000*16=192000

p=12000
t=5
c.i. =2p
p(1+r/100)^t = 2p
(1+r/100)^5 = 2
for 20 yr,
p(1+r/100)^20 =p((1+r/100)^5)^4 = p* 2^4 = p*16 = 12000*16 = 192000

If A & B work together, they will complete the job in 7.5 days. If A works alone and completes half the job and then B takes over and completes the remaining half alone, they will be able to complete the job in 20 days. How long B alone will take to do the job, if A is more efficient than B ?
(A) 20 days
(B) 30 days
(C) 40 days

since A is more efficient than B therefore no.of days taken by B to complete the job alone will be 30 days

(B) 30 days

(1/A) + (1/B)= 1/7.5 or 2AB=15(A+B) ---(i)
Half of the work from A & B= (A/2) + (B/2)=20, A+B=40 ---(ii)
From (i) & (ii), AB=300 ---(iv)
Values matching for AB=300 & A+B=40, where A is more efficient than B, So A will be less than B
We have A=10, B=30

80,72,64,56,48
63,72,81,90....
After this make it into one series formation
80,63,72,72,64,81,56,90,48...thats it.

Answer is 90
the complete series is divided into 2 series like
80,72,64,56
63,72,81,
the difference between the numbers in second series is 9
So the next number in the series must be 91+9=90

in how many days will A alone finish the work?

Let A can finish a work in x days then B will finish it in 2x days
Thus 1/x + 1/2x = 1/18
solving it, we get x=27
so A alone can do it in 27 days.

Let for n years he paid interest 7.5%
and for (21-n) years interest paid was 7%
so,
((180000*n*7.5)/100) + ((180000*7*(21-n))/100) = 270900
solving it we get n=7
so for 21-7 = 14 years he paid the reduced interest

Reply Like? Yes | No
CHANDAN KUMAR   10 years ago
answer will be , a=1 ,b=4 & c=7
just remember the month of calender.
as we know the days of calender are ,
january =31 days
february =28 days
march= 31 days
april =30 days
may =31 days
june =30 days
july =31 days
august =31 days
september =30 days
october =31 days
november =30 days
december =31 days

hence ,total day in a year =365

28 days comes one time . so, a=1
similarly ,
30 days comes four times , so , b=4
31 days comes seven times , so , c=7

Mega: Rotational Visual Cryptography using Basic (2, 2) Scheme.
Description: This scheme is used for hiding two halftone secret images into two meaningful shares Created from halftone cover images. Using Human Visual System, again the four secret images can be easily recovered by placing the two shares on top of each other with different angles. Rotation Visual Cryptography using basic (2,2) scheme which encrypts three secret images into three shares and each secret image can be easily revealed by overlaying one share with the 1800 anticlockwise rotation of another share. In this way the combination of any of the two shares reveals one secret image with the help of 1800 anticlockwise rotation. The reconstructed original three secret images have the same contrast as achieved in the basic visual cryptography scheme (2, 2).

Mini: Traffic Road Sign Detector used to alert the Driver of the vehicle about the Road Sign by Detecting the Traffic Signs of the Road.
Description: A vision-based vehicle guidance system for road vehicles can have three main roles: (1)
road detection; (2) obstacle detection; and (3) sign recognition. The first two have been studied for many years and with many good results, but traffic sign recognition is a less-studied field. Traffic signs provide drivers with very valuable information about the road, in order to make driving safer and easier. It has two main parts. The first one, for the detection, uses color thresholding to segment the image and shape analysis to detect the signs. The second one, for the classification, uses a neural
network.

d. decreased by 50%

As per the ratio, if lengh=x, breadth=3x and height=7x, then Volume=x*3x*7x=21*x^3
With length doubled and breadth & height halved new Volume=2x*(3x/2)*(7x/2)=21*x^3/2
The new volume is 50% or there is decrease by 50%.

4th +5th +6th = 18
given 4th = 7
so 7 + 5th + 6th = 18
5th + 6th = 11
similarly 5th + 6th + 7th = 18
from above 11 + 7th = 18
so
7th will also be 7

15 DAYS
REASON;- RATE OF WORK A:B = 3:1
TIME TAKEN A:B = 1:3
LET X BE THE TYM TAKEN BY A TO FINISH THE WORK.THEN, B TAKES 10 DAYS MORE, SO X+10
NOW, 1:3 :: X:X+10

Three people check into a hotel.

They pay £30 to the manager and go to their room.

The manager suddenly remembers that the room rate is £25 and gives £5 to the bellboy to return to the people.

On the way to the room the bellboy reasons that £5 would be difficult to share among three people so he pockets £2 and gives £1 to each person.

Now each person paid £10 and got back £1.

So they paid £9 each, totalling £27. The bellboy has £2, totalling £29.

Where is the missing £1?

Sum of two numbers is 1/3rd of 1/5th of 195 and product is 1/6 th of 1/4th of 960. Find 1/3 of the difference between numbers :
Reply Like? Yes | No
neha gupta   10 years ago
Let the numbers be a and b
a + b = (1/3) of (1/5) of 195 = 39
a * b = (1/6) of (1/4) of 960 = 40
solving a+b =39 and ab = 40
we get a quadratic equation a2 - 13a +40 =0
its solution is a=5,8
for this correspondingly b = 8,5
their difference:
a=8 , b=5 , a-b=3 so 1/3 of difference is 1
a=5 , b=8 , a-b= -3 so 1/3 of difference is -1

a-b=sqrt(89-2*40)=sqrt(9)=3

Given ratio of 50 paise & 25 paise coins as 7:3 ,So they can be 7,3 or 14,6 in quantity
With only statement (2), it is not clear about 1 Rs. coins, to get total amount
With statement (1), total coins are 20, so 50 paise & 25 paise coins should be 7 & 3 respectively , so remaining 10 coins of 1 Rs.
Total amount in the bowl= (10*1) +(7*0.5) +(3*0.25)=14.25 Rs.
